Embarking on Academic Summer's journey in 2008, our mission has always been to redefine the summer camp experience. We have been pioneers in offering academic courses. We recognise that simply offering traditional English language teaching is no longer enough in the rapidly changing world of technology.
To make progress, you need an immersive, real-life experience that will help you prepare for your future. For this reason, we go beyond the norm and offer a comprehensive approach that focuses on your language acquisition and communication and practical application in curriculum subjects. From Maths and Science to Arts and Social Studies and Career Pathway programmes, all are delivered through the innovative CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) approach. You will continue developing your English as an international language, which is invaluable for your future.
We are in the heart of London and the picturesque Mendip Hills near Bristol, but the adventure doesn't stop in the UK! In 2017, we expanded our horizons to Canada, embracing its friendly culture and stunning nature. Join us for a unique tour of Montreal, Ottawa, Quebec, and beautiful New Brunswick.
In September 2025, Living Learning English becomes our sister company. Founded by Kate Hargreaves in 1995 and now led by our CEO Helen Lami as Principal, Living Learning English offers year-round opportunities for bespoke one-to-one tuition in the teacher's home. This provides year round, flexible and personalised learning for children. teenagers and professionals alike.

At Academic Summer, we take Corporate Social Responsibility seriously, and part of this is giving to charity. We believe that education is a fundamental human right that has the power to shape a brighter future. Nelson Mandela famously said, “Education can change the world”. This is why we proudly support Theirworld, a charity that shares our values in education.
As a company, we actively contribute and participate in Theirworld's fundraising events. We also encourage our Academic Summer community to get involved.
We believe in fostering a sense of social responsibility in the next generation and include this within our Be a Leader programme. We want to inspire and empower our students to make a positive impact as future leaders and to Unlock Big Change.

Theirworld is a global children's charity dedicated to ending the global education crisis and unleashing the potential of future generations.
Today, more than 260 million young people are out of school, with 75 million children having their education disrupted due to conflict, climate crisis or emergencies. On current trends, more than half of all young people will not have the most basic skills they need for employment by 2030.
Theirworld brings together a network of youth, social entrepreneurs, campaigners, businesses and researchers to ensure all young people have the best start in life, a safe place to learn and skills for the future.
