Could your child be the next robotics and coding genius?
Participate in our latest academic adventure in collaboration with Tech Study UK and David Game College – the Robotics and Coding Summer Camp.
We’re thrilled to announce our brand-new Robotics and Coding summer camp in partnership with Tech Study UK, David Game College and Academic Summer. This exclusive two-week camp will take place in three different date slots in 2025, offering an exciting opportunity for students aged 15-17 to dive into the dynamic world of coding and robotics.
Designed for young tech enthusiasts, this camp is more than just an introduction to robotics and coding – it’s a hands-on journey into the future of technology! The camp will be led by Yonca Kurt, who heads up Tech Study UK. Yonca is an award-winning computer science teacher and along with her team of inspiring educators, she will guide students as they learn, create and innovate.
With state-of-the-art facilities at David Game College in central London, participants will benefit from a stimulating blend of theoretical knowledge and hands-on practice. Under Yonca's mentorship, along with other leading experts, students will gain valuable experience and insights, making this the perfect opportunity to explore and develop their passion for technology.
“At Academic Summer, we believe in equipping students with the skills needed for the future,” says our CEO, Helen Lami. “Through our collaboration with other world-class providers like Tech Study UK and David Game College, our Robotics and Coding Summer camp offers cutting-edge tech education, inspiring young minds to innovate, problem-solve and become the technology leaders of tomorrow.”
Why join our Robotics and Coding Summer Camp?
- If you are a young person with a passion for tech, this camp offers you cutting-edge skills Development. Robotics and coding are not just skills for the future; they are essential today. Through this summer camp, you will gain hands-on experience with coding languages such as C and learn how to programme robots to perform real-life tasks. The camp also encourages creative problem-solving and you will learn to make your robot move, sense and interact!
- Project-based learning: At Academic Summer, we believe in Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL). In this Robotics and Coding summer camp, students will learn by doing – through project-based activities that stimulate curiosity and creativity. They'll be challenged to work on real-world projects that require critical thinking and collaboration, developing solutions that may someday change the world.
- The best mentorship: We are honoured to have Yonca Kurt of Tech Study UK leading the programme. Yonca brings over 20 years of experience as a computer science teacher and a passion for making technology accessible to everyone. Her background includes founding robotics clubs, winning international competitions and writing books on coding and robotics. She knows what it feels like to struggle with understanding code, and she has dedicated her career to finding effective ways to teach others. Her teaching methods ensure that students not only learn how to code but also understand the logic and creativity behind it.
- Tech Study UK collaboration: our partnership with Tech Study UK provides an enriched curriculum that emphasises both the technical and human sides of technology. Students will receive high-quality instruction in a supportive atmosphere, tailored to different skill levels—from beginners who are just curious about coding to advanced students looking to sharpen their skills.
